Would like to advertise your company's website, product or service to a global audience? By placing a banner ad such as the one at the top of this page on our site you are exposing your company to potential customers from around the world. By simply clicking on your banner viewers are taken to your site, taking them one step closer to becoming your customers.

When you place a banner on our site it will appear in rotation with other banners also placed. The system works as follows:

If, for example, 5 institutions have placed a banner ad on our site, these five banners will take turns in appearing on our site in strict rotation. So if someone visits our home page, they will see one of the banners. If they go on to another page of our site, they will see the next banner. If a second person now visits a page of our site, they will see the third banner, and so on.

You only pay for each time your banner appears on a page of our site (per "impression"), so you only pay for each time your banner can be viewed by a visitor. These impressions can lead to "clickthroughs", i.e. when the visitor actually clicks on your banner and is taken to your site. We can tell you the impression:clickthrough ratio at any time; just ask us and we'll let you know the percentage of clickthroughs. We will also inform you of the clickthrough-percentage whenever your impressions have been used up and we e-mail you to invite you to purchase more impressions.

Banners must be 468 x 60 pixels and should be no more than 30kb in size. Prices are 2p (two UK pence) per impression, with a minimum booking of 5,000 impressions. We will notify you when those have been used up.

We are also pleased to offer our banner-ad design services. For £20 we will design a banner reflecting your institution's style and image. You are then free to use this banner to promote your institution on any site - the copyright is yours.
